The White Sox Talk podcast has posted a rare interview with Albert Belle today on the heels of the ESPN documentary Long Gone Summer about the 1998 MLB home run race with Sammy Sosa and Mark McGwire. In the interview Belle discusses his stellar 1998 season for the White Sox, his relationship with the media during his career, PEDs, thoughts on Pete Rose, and gives an update on what he is up to these days - still loving being a dad and raising his daughters and staying home during the pandemic. He also reveals an interesting story about how a hotel bellman that he ran into gave him advice to choke up a half inch, which turned out to be a good tip that helped him during the second half of the 1998 season. You can download and listen to the podcast at the following link or play it below: Albert Belle on Sosa, McGwire, PEDs and his 1998 season
